Prayers

You can hear a rendition of Joy to the World, the carol mentioned by Ama, after the service.

Sermon

For more about Joy, see the Bible Project video at the end of this page.

Carol: O Come All Ye Faithful

The lyrics of this carol appear as closed caption subtitles on the video. They should appear automatically but you may need to turn them on manually using one of the buttons at the bottom of the video screen or use the words in our lyrics booklet.

Sixth Reading: John 1:1-14

Closing Words

After The Service

The service was followed, as usual, by a chat on Zoom. For the carol service this was at 5pm but most Sundays we meet at 11:30am (NB for communion services, usually the last Sunday of the month, the communion takes place at 11:30 and is followed by a chat in the same Zoom meeting).

Here is a rendition of Joy to the World by the Penrallt Quartet, which we hope you will enjoy. This is the carol that Ama mentioned in the introduction to her prayers.

Joy (Bible Project Advent Series)

To complete the series of Advent Word Studies from the Bible Project that we have been following in our morning services this month, here is their video on Joy:

Thank you for joining us for our carol service, and thank you to all the many people who worked hard to help make it happen. We pray that you will have a very happy Christmas and blessed new year.
